You don't understand why he did it because you can't. Take the worst day of your life, how did you feel back then? Maybe he was feeling this way for the whole life. No matter what you have, how many loving people you have around or how rich you are. If you feel fucked up, you can't help it. Yeah it's very hard for family that he's dead, but I think it was even harder for him to live. I'm sorry for his kids, but life is hard and painful and beyond that there is nothing for some people.
