You are failing because of lack of values. It is pretty much the picture of the modern, independent, neofeminist American liberated woman. You are suffering the consequences but still cannot see the causes, possibly because you have not known other world than what entours you. You refer that they treat you like a "booty call", come on, you have full responsibility for engaging into that kind of relationships. See it clearly, your modern feminist propaganda encourages you to engage into one night stands as the flagship of women's liberation, yet when the day after it doesn't feel that good, then you victimize yourself, (which is also part of the neofeminist propaganda). So, I see you fully responsible for each and every event that has happened in your life. Yet, you can transform it if you firmly grab the values and start being demanding with yourself and demonstrate others what a true, honest, sincere, reliable person you can be. I can see you smiling and being excited about the texts that men send you telling you that you are hot, you let yourself be dragged by that deception thinking that "yes, alright, i am going to enjoy it, cause i am hot and i do whatever i want with my life, and similar rubbish philosophy. If you relate with men who text you such things, you are on the very damn wrong path. Find a man who proposes you beautiful things, although i anticipate it, to find it in America is nearly impossible and if he is American the same.
