There are plenty of people who probably shouldn’t be allowed to live, but I doubt very seriously that you are one of them. For one thing, people who are so bad that they shouldn’t be allowed to live are the last ones who will say that about themselves. And you know what? Even if you have committed the absolute worst thing a person could possibly do (which I’m doubting that you have), you will should be allowed to live. There is nothing that a person can do that cannot be forgiven and we were created by a God who is merciful and kind and just. So, He always is willing to forgive and restore anyone who asks. But, then if he exists, you say, why does he not save me from the terrible pain I’m feeling? I can’t understand that just like I can’t uderstand cancer or car accidents or tornadoes or sunamis. There is suffering and pain in this life, but I believe God is there just the same. I guess this is sort of like a test or part of the path we must travel to get to paradise. We all feel pain. I have felt the all consuming pain of depression, the absolute torment of it, and I said a million prayers that I felt were never answered. But, in time they were. I believe every one of them was having an effect but I couldn’t see the effect until later. Things were happening on my behalf the minute I prayed but I just couldn’t feel or see the result right then. So, I say to you that you deserve to live and you deserve to have a good life. Hold on any way you can. You are loved. We are all loved. And sometimes we have to have faith to believe that when we can’t feel it. Thinking of you and praying for you.
