That’s quite the life you have lived. I am sorry you have suffered so much. Hugs.
I don’t know what to say. You’ve been through a lot. One of the painful realizations is finding out that when it comes down to it, you find yourself alone.
It is understandable to not be able to adapt to what they call normal life when you’ve been through all that. Why would you even want to? Unless you had to?
Friends, family, wife, kids….where are they when you need them?
Sometimes there is help you can get in your local area through various agencies for free. We have something called Connect to Help. If you want I could look up info for you I would just have to know what state you live in. It sounds like you really just need some time and help to heal. I’m sorry you had to go through that. My dad is a veteran. Maybe you could talk with other soldiers. My dad does that and it seems to help him with his past.
It means a lot that you all replied. Thank you.
Michigan.
Michigan is a pretty state. I will see if I can find anything. Oh by the way, did you get a GED? Consider getting one of those if you don’t have one and working in a trade that people always need.
Have you told your regular doctor of your struggles? They might be able to get you on some meds that could help.
Looks like you can call 211 for help with services. In addition they have something called Talent Connect which I think is employment services. Sometimes libraries offer computer classes for free or a small fee in the types of programs that employers may want you to use. I know help sometimes can seem overwhelming and hard to find but if you call a few places and talk to a few people you may find someone that can help a little bit.
Have you reached out to the VA? They might be able to provide some assistance. While some resources take longer to work through the system than others, they might be worth looking into.
