These statements are true to the best of my ability
On March 13th,2010 while as client at St. Francis Hosp Psyche ward when around 08:30 to 09:00, I was attack from behind by another client in which he had kicked in the back of my left knee and lower back, I in turn defended myself and push the attacker into the wall and took him to the floor.
Before the attack I was speaking with my nurse (Judith) about a blood test for my Diabetes sugar levels, I did have to be restrained for a few minutes ( less then 3) after the attack once I was release I had found the my Left Knee had been dislocated and is bruised and was bleeding, I was NOT treated for that or the complaint of lower back pain from were I was kicked.
At 10:00 the Doctor came to me while I was in the TV Room and told me I was being discharged after lunch, At first I didn’t question it, after group I had ask the doctor why I was being discharge early his reply to me was “ We don’t allow people to attack other clients and this is not a Jail House†I asked him why was it ok for William(the attacker) could stay and I had to be kicked out? Once again he said “this is not a jail houseâ€
In the Patient Handbook on page Three (3) the top lines reads as follows†Sexual harassment, Verbal abuse, Threats or Violence will not be tolerated and should be reported to staff†Staff was there when the attack happen and they did nothing until I defended myself.
I ask to have the San Francisco Police to be called so I could report this crime, The staff claimed to have it all written down in their logs (and yes there is VIDEO of the attack) refuse to call them or take any other actions until I was told to leave, at which point THREE (3) Hospital Guards came to escort me out of the Hospital and was not to use the ER for treatment for my knee or back, I was to go else where to seek treatment.
