Does anyone believe that we have to carry our pain with us when we go. There are plenty of psychics etc who say we just have to work it out in the next world and that it will be HARDER. Sounds so punishing. Or the other belief that the next life is what we believe it to be. My life is a whole lot of physical and mental pain that can’t seem to be resolved here. I don’t want any of this tunnel and bright light shit. I’m just too exhausted. I crave sleep and accounts of the next world sound so demanding. I also read that people with phyical problems don’t realise they are free of their pain for a while.Apart from a pleasant lady who said there was an intensive care for sick and troubled souls.
I read too much rubbish. Much prefer the realism( mostly) on this site.

Those psychics are wrong! This is a free will universe and there is no punishment in the afterlife, only whatever punishment we set for ourselves. Once on the other side, you will be amazed at how quick and beautiful your ethereal body is and once your spirit guides retrieve you from the Earth to be reunited with your soul group once again, you will bask in your own awesomeness and unconditional love of everyone around you; As the veil of amnesia you were born with is wiped away, you will burst with pride at your many incredible accomplishments that you achieved on the Earth, as well as in countless other lives and on different planes of existence. You’ll even be with the souls of the people you left behind on the Earth as ‘time’ is only a limitation of the human 3D experience. You’ll laugh in absolute joy as you remember just how good existing truly is, and rejoice that the trivial trials of the Earth are over! On the extremely slight chance you are disappointed in yourself for not holding on longer on the Earth plane, you’ll quickly forget as you remember how brave you were for incarnating in the first place, as you begin your million year party-vacation with your truest spiritual family, fulfilling your wildest dreams in the most fantastic places and dimensions possible, knowing you aren’t forced down any ‘path’ to ascend and that you aren’t forced to enduring any lifetime to ‘ascend’. You are here with the forehand knowledge that this would be an extremely difficult incarnation; But, like the carnival daredevils, you have your safety net always under you, ready to catch you and take you back home to the light, your home of pure joy, abundance and eternal love.
I am just so beaten down with pain despair and depression that I can’t even imagine this. Since my brain got damaged I have felt no joy and a lot of the time feel I deserve punishment. Maybe if I could remember what joy felt like I could relate to this but it sounds lovely. Since being ill I have gotten my hopes up so many times only to be beaten down once again. I think I’m a little afraid of joy it’s so long since I felt it. I’d settle for peace.
I know how you feel. I read that an ex NORAD officer predicted a world changing event coming this Oct 13th. If nothing happens, I will be leaving the same weekend, although there are no guarantees I’ll be waiting even that long.
Thanks for replying Alluvion. I live near a port and for the last 2 years have looked longingly at ships setting sail wishing death could be that simple. A journey. An expectation. The open sea and a far-flung destination. The sound of seagulls and the wind on my face. My illness has progressed. More seizures shocking my brain.More pain.More turning my anger on myself and others in pure helplessness..Perhaps I should have gone while I could still feel this image could still respond to the breeze on my face..There’s a lot to be said for picking the right time. Now it’s darkness. My soul feels dead. Do souls die?.
I’m new but you seem very important to this website Alluvion. You’ll be missed. Anyway thanks again for replying. and bringing some light.
Souls can’t die, but Chakras can be blocked.
One thing most people agree to on this site is that we humans are more than flesh and blood alone. We are spirits, or rather, physical beings with souls. We know many people who have had NDEs or other astral travel expereinces where their soul has left the body and roams around, often looking at themselves in bed or on an operating table etc. My cousin who is completely irreligious saw himself on the operating table during an emergency operation after his appendix suddenly failed. He had died on the operating table but doctors restored him. There are countless testimonies to this kind of phenomena, perhaps some people here on this site have experienced as well.
Now that we have established we are souls that live beyond the death of our physical coil, what makes us so certain that our souls will continue to live in bliss or punishment once we are dead?
I’ll be honest, the reason I fear death and suicide is because I personally believe in God, heaven and hell. Our souls were created somewhere, by someone, they didn’t just evolve from simple physical life forms – surely this is not possible.
If we on this site have discretion to tell people that after death our souls live in bliss, then do we also have discretion to present possible alternate views? Even if those views do seem religious or disturbing?
I don’t think postulating the idea of our souls living somewhere for eternity is religious, even if it was popularised by religion, it may be just a fact of life. I also think that if we cannot present varying views on death and the afterlife, then it is only fair non are presented at all, and the site should moderate that.
Only a Christian’s mind is so limited to think an all-knowing all-loving God would condemn his children. Here is a link that talks about the Church’s development of the “hell” myth:
