Some Avatar fans are reportedly feeling as blue as Na’vi aliens once the movie ends. According to CNN, online forums have sprung up to support people experiencing depressed, even suicidal thoughts “because they long to enjoy the beauty of the alien world Pandora,” the film’s intricately rendered 3-D setting. Despondent fans have unleashed over 1,000 posts on one site avatar forums, expressing their disgust with the relatively non-idyllic planet Earth and the human race. Has a new kind of filmmaking triggered a new kind of audience response?
I wonder does this give a glimmer of proof to the fact that humans need more from their existence? I wonder how true it would be to say that somewhere inside their souls, they know it is possible and that they are being robbed of their true way of living?

I seriously could not see what the fuss was about. It didn’t look all that great or utopian. And those avatars, talk about ugly! Plenty of waaaaaaaaaaay better looking chicks here on earth! Which incidentally is part of my frustration because of my pathetic shyness and lack of –self-worth at time I cannot have. 🙁
Doesn’t that make it even worse then? If it’s not that utopian and yet so many get depressed cause it’s way better than life on earth! haha
I’ve not seen this film myself, not interested in blue tall ugly people.
Yeah I guess it just goes to show just how shit this world is, in reality.
