i really dont believe i belong to this earth- i really dont undertand human emotion, really have no empathy for anyone, cannot for the life of me figure out how anything works- mortgages/ insurance/ relationships/ road rules…so honeslty honestly the only hope that i have is death. i dont want the normal things people want- like marriage, relationships, a career coz i know ive proven that i just simply unable to do it. i honestly live outside this world- dont do anthing all day but watch tv coz i cant handle simple responsibilities. SO…the topic of death..i want to commit suicide but..im afraid of waht happens in the afterlife. what do you guys believe? i beleive good people go to heaven and bad people to go hell but…i dont believe that for myself. just wanted to hear what you guys thought

ok my feelings…there is no heaven and hell, we all go to the same place so to speak. People who commit suicide, including me if I do it, are not in their right minds, and so the hereafter gets that. So there is compassion for you. But the problems of mortgages etc. that one skips, they still have to be faced in the afterlife. And it is tougher there than here. You are here to learn lessons, and if you commit suicide to avoid the lessons, well you still have to learn about them in the afterlife. And it is lots harder there than it is on Earth, I bet.
I don’t think it’s a matter of belief. Belief are just ideas that we as human beings have conjured up for ourselves. Heaven and Hell are man made places. They don’t exist, in any form.
Scientifically speaking, you were dead before you were alive. I think it will be much like that. Nothingness.
I agree with Angel Ash. It will be just like it was before you were born – Nothing.
i know that my life may not amount to much but what about the likes of hitler and gandhi- those that had such huge impacts on the history of humanity…how could their lives just…poof and be nothing. no judgment, no punishment, no reward. see- i think theres a heaven and hell for them, a heaven for my wonderful souled grandmother and a hell for my terribly greedy aunt…but i really dont think that the boundaries pertain to me! its jsut a scary thought..jumping off a cliff…to burn eternally in hell. either way tho- whether i live like a sloth with a dead heart or die..im not not hitting those “christian” standards to open up heaven to me.
Yes scientifically there is nothing after death, but spiritually there is. There was something before birth, there was something when one was in the womb, and when a person was 1 day old.
Like taking a glass and dipping it in the ocean…before doing that the glass was empty, but the water existed, it just wasn’t in the glass. When you die it’s like emptying the glass, and there is nothing in the glass like before, but the water goes back to the ocean.
When you de it all becomes clear.
die I meant
As far as Hitler goes, he was on Earth to fulfill a purpose, which he did very well. Gandhi too, but to the other extreme. Your aunt too, everyone. When you commit suicide, you haven’t completed your purpose (for sure Hitler committed suicide so perhaps he never completed his mission either). You have to complete what you were put here for, either here or there. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. 🙂
I believe we’re reincarnated. I don’t believe in any mystical realms such as Heaven or Hell because I think they’re just nonsense. I do believe human souls are constantly reborn. But who knows what really is out there after death. Maybe nothing.
What happens after death is up to what you believe, no one will ever know for sure.
Deep down, most people know there is no afterlife, even if they say they believe. If all of the people who say they believe in heaven/hell really did, it would be a much better world because they would be afraid to do the terrible things that they do.
Since they instinctively know there will be no punishment, they go after all they can while they’re here.
Seriously, if God were to magically appear today, and everyone knew it was real… think about how different they would act tomorrow knowing that they would be punished in the end.
If there is a God, he must be lazy.
We came from nothing….what’s nothing…it’s something. You are greeted by those who may have past before you, depending on your circumstances and your vibration you will go to a realm that your vibration can handle…possibly some healing if you offed yourself. Whatever the case go to the light….it might come to you first…Just go to the light, the rest you will know what to do. We’ve done it tons of times. Good luck.
That’s just silly.
I do agree that nothing is something. I also agree it’s silly. If that makes sense, which I’m sure it doesn’t. 🙂
As someone who believes in Christ, you will go to heaven, no one is in Hell right now, not even Hitler, you will go to Spirit Prison but you will be visited by Missionaries to teach you the gospel and also past family members, you still have your Agency, your ability to choose for yourself, to either accept or reject the gospel and you can still repent at this time. you won’t be judged till after you are resurrected, the wicked will go to hell after the judegement, because they refuse to repent and accept Christ. No one is in hell except for Satan and his fallen angels who rebeled against God, they were cast down to Hell and denied a physical body like what you and I have now, They are in fact jealous of us and everybody who is on this earth and wants us to be miserable like they are.
Whatever you choose to accept as “the afterlife” Just know you are NOT going to Hell, OK? Heavenly Father loves you, he already forgives you for what you have done, and what you might do. Don’t ask me how I know, because I just know.
I will NEVER believe that those who reject Jesus as the Christ are going to hell. Gandhi won’t go to hell. There is no hell.
@not-good-enough – do you have any idea how ridiculous that sounds?
All of christianity does. And every other religion. Think about it.
You will go based on your vibration…and beliefs in Jesus and Mary and the Saints helps a lot. It’s of course up to you what you wish to believe in, however it does not discount the validity of these powerful Spiritual beings who have mastered this world and are there to assist you.
belief in Jesus or Mary or Louise have nothing to do with what hppens after you die. Vibration I dunno what that means.
I don’t know what happens after death. I don’t think *nothing* happens; I think there is something more to it than that.
According to what little I know about Judaism… there is no such thing as “eternal hell”. We come to Earth to learn. Those who have too many sins on their plate have to wait a little longer to get to heaven. They just come back to Earth to learn so more about morals and whatnot. G-d doesn’t just look at a person sins; He counts the good deeds a person has done more than the bad. Suicide is a great sin, but G-d knows if a person is going through a lot of pain, and I’m sure he takes that into account. In any case, I don’t really know.
Darn. Am I considered wicked just because I don’t believe Jesus was the savior? Yeah, not likely. I have a problem with universalizing religions. (I know you probably don’t mean to be insulting or anything like that not-good-enough, and it’s just what you believe. I’m okay with people believing different things and that’s alright)
@ jennybenny, please think more about this. Not just about what happens after death but rather what you could be missing out in life. Try to find better options. Good luck. I’ll pray for you.
wow jenny we are so alike!!!
