“You have your whole life ahead of you!”
“There is so much to live for!”
“Keep your head up!”
“Oh your husband is just stupid!”
Do you know what an ignorant thing to say that is?
To prolong the suffering of those who are broken by trying to talk them into continuing their lives is sadistic and selfish. You do it because you yourself are afraid of death and you don’t want to be faced with it, in any way. You’re extending their suffering for months at best and you know very well that they are going to off themselves in the end.
You’re creating internal conflicts for them by tempting them with empty words such as that life could be all so beautiful and promising for them while in themselves they have already decided that the right choice is to go.
Do you even have an idea how painful these internal conflicts that you are creating in them are?
When will you stop your deceptions, stop comparing with yourself and start thinking about others instead and encourage people to do what they have decided is the right choice for their lives.

And when will you stop your deception? What makes you think you are right in saying that suicide is the end of all things?
Of course I agree that there is no promise that life will get better (and most of the time, our experience seem to suggest that it may only get worst).
Of course I agree that other fellow humans should not impose their choice on someone.
The axe I have to grind is this: that you assume that people who are suffering (and will only suffer more if they live on earth) will be better off dead. Are you sure? What if there is a hell or something equivalent to a hell where they’ll suffer even more then they ever did?
I’m pro-choice. But I’m only pro-wise-choice. As much as I agree that people should stop saying things like “there is light at the end of the tunnel” without understand the predicament of the suffering person, I also bear the same conviction that people should stop proliferating the believe that death is an end to all things – because in both cases, we will never know (unlesswehavesomekindofsuperpsychicmentalabilitytotellthefutureandtopredicttheunknownbutifanyonediditwouldnotbepossibletoverifytheircredibilityeither)
I hear ya rocky i think we all get sick of hearing those things
