This may sound strange, but have any of you looked into homesteading as a lifestyle. I’m not suggesting that it would be an easy option, but if I could go back (prior to wife n kids) I believe that is the route I would go. I believe for those who don’t ‘fit’ into the traditional nine-to-five mold it is a viable option. Just a thought, and I may do it yet. I’ve have dabbled in urban homesteading (i.e. Gardening and raising livestock in a semi-rural setting) and have found it rather rewarding and therapeutic, but I hope to start a micro-farm at some point.
I love that song too. The one that gets me the best, Nothing, by Robbie Conaway. He is the lead singer of katastrofist, formerly ghettobillies. I have the first verse tattooed down my spine.
Used to be that nothing ever changed, and it seemed like, nothing ever would. Now nothing, nothing stays the same. Nothing goes the way it should. Nothings turning into something like only something could, and I’m holding onto nothing, like nothings something good.
