I thought you wrote that Truthbetold, and it was only when I got to the bottom I realised it was Sri Nisargadatta (never heard of him) 🙂
Life is the universe’s way of understanding itself. Unless you believe that the soul will survive after death, continuing as part of an endless conscious existence, I don’t see how life on earth can be of any consequence at all.
Who is Nisarga Datta. It’s a bengali~indian name I suppose.. But never heard of him. :-/

2) I recall a scientific study about what is alive is really dead when no observe it.
So it alive when u see it but its dead when u don’t see it. Think of it like a video game. The people, tree’s, animals, sky, are only “there/present/alive” only when your video game character is observing it, but that person, place or thing is not there once you turn your back (empty space/void). That’s real life that’s conciousness there the eyes of today’s science.
Lots of philosophers have touched on this point. Descartes’ “I think therefore I am” was one of the first recorded in history.
The problem with “I think therefore I am” is that people who are brain-dead still exist…
Otherwise… You simply are. and so much turmoil is wrought from wanting to live in either the future, or the past… we are always fighting to be anyplace but where we are, anyone but who we are, and with anything but the facts.. Truth is so hard to accept, but it is only by accepting the facts that we can find contentment, then joy….
The problem with that is, that it involves killing your dreams, and accepting all the shit of the world, and learning to be happy with it..

I have one belief: death will take me to my prebirth state and it’s what matters the most atm .. but since the future is also unpredictable, I still have little hope life may surprise me in a good way

@childifabandon ‘I think therefore I am’ is a philosophical concept that is not meant to be taken so literally. What it really means is… How do I know ‘I’ exist which is seperate from you? What is subjectivity? Thought, basically, is subjectivity. Brain dead people exist, or sure, but one could argue they might not have subjectivity
The idea that god exists if ‘I’ perceive it is fairly atheist in itself because according to the bible god is an entity that also created the world and animals etc…
I dont believe that consciousness is hidden.. It is simply intangible, but it is not hidden because its effects are quite visible. Ie. your consciousness may not be seen… But I can see its effects in what you write. The intangible manifests in language as tangible. Glad you’re still around anyway
