I was just prescribed Vyvanse and even though I have not taken it every day in the last 2 weeks I am thinking that it really revs up the suicidal thoughts. Same with Lorazepam.
Anyone else…?

Lorazepam isn’t Xanax.It’s for Anxiety.It works for about a month like all Benzos then becomes ineffective

hell yeah ive been on valium for three years and 10 milli valiums 3 times a day…um its the worst shit ever. my thoughts r like crazy i cant even function without downing a bottle AND i ran out of the ADHD meds so my mind is in a new zone
To answer your question….Lorazepam (Ativan), Xanax, Valium all for anxiety and YES they WILL make you more depressed. I was on Xanax when I overdoesed. I take Valium now, but only a small dose at night for sleep. If you aren’t taking that for anxiety, then don’t take it…my opinion.
I found I was depressed alot while on Xanax and it did increase the suisidal thoughts
That happened to me too. Whenever I wasn’t on Xanax, it made me more irritable. Felt like some form of anger was building inside me.
I feel like Vyvanse doesn’t really work either. Focalin XR works for me but makes me nauseous; maybe you should give it a try after using Vyvanse after a few weeks?
The best way for these Rx to work is to take the lowest dosage everyday at the same time, eat healthy, and have a positive outook on life.

Vyvanse will certainly give you suicidal thoughts. It is an amphetamine like stimulant, and although you feel good for a short period the come down will feel like emotional rape. Xanax on the other hand should not effect thoughts specific to suicide. It might make you drowsy though.
I would call your doc asap. Do not stop taking the stuff he has prescribed because the effect on your thought process could be far more severe than it is now. Just hang in there and try to get it figured out.
Xanax does nothing really for me, but I have heard others crave it! My Dr has no problem giving it to me. Its for panic disorders
