The Boy With The Lies

We are gathered here today, brought together by sadness and a young girl’s demise

A conclusion reached because of the boy with the lies

Her told her things each day, no one should have to hear

So often in fact, she lived in constant fear

She no longer looked forward, always looking back

Building up her defenses for the boy’s next attack

Day in and day out she heard the boy with the lies

Make fun of everything- from her feet to her eyes

Even the way that she walked was absurd

She remembered every mean thing she heard

Even when she was alone, everywhere she went

The voice was in her head, it would not relent

She listened until she could do so no longer

And even then, the mean words became stronger

She was young, exuberant, beautiful and smart

But to all of these facts, hardened was her heart

All she could hear was the voice of the boy with the lies

Her image in the mirror blurred by the tears in her eyes

The next day in her room, were a note and gun found

Near them the young girl lying on the ground

She no longer laughs, studies or cries

All because of the boy with the lies

Gathered here today are people filled with sorrow

More saddened by the fact her 18^th birthday is tomorrow

Finally saddened, in the last row with tears in his eyes

Dressed all in black is the boy filled with lies

People will continue in life, even with the girl gone

But for the boy with the lies, life ends at dawn

He realized the impact he had on the girl

All the negative things he said make his head whirl

He has his own weapon, prepared his own note

In his dresser are apologies and letters he wrote

He silently cries, tying knots in the rope

The tears flow down his face slippery like soap

People gather again and mourn the boy with the lies

But this funeral is different, here a young angel cries

The beautiful girl, now an angel with wings

Loved the boy who said all the mean things

Through all of the torment in public and at school

The boy had realized he was being a fool

He loved her back but she never knew

When he went to tell her, her life was already through

Now they can say the things they should have said

Too bad to be able to they had to be dead

The people gather here today to mourn a girl and a boy

Who now are together and finally know joy
