Don’t let those bastards win.

“The planet” survives because it is a /planet/. People die. Many billions of people and non-people have died. Many of them suffered tremendously and reaped not the bountiful harvests sowed with hope.

It’s not all about “hating ourselves.” People love to assume self-loathing in the case of the depressed and/or suicidal. That’s part of the mindset built of false and errant premises that causes the depressed and/or suicidal to be as they are. What we loathe is often not ourselves, but the way typical people typically are, this world, and our station within it.

“Those bastards” always win. That’s how the world came to be what it has become: a place where “good people” are disgusted to the bone, and unable to alter or resist the impositions of the will of the dominant.

If you have an enemy, do you wish them to simply cease to exist? Or do you wish them to begrudgingly continue to suffer a life of futility? Is it about your success, or about their failure and despair?

There is no one still alive today, from “the dark ages.” Even the winners perished. But before they did, they created the world that remained beyond their time… just as yesterday’s winners have done, to create ours; just as today’s winners work to create the world that will remain beyond our time.
