I may be new to this site, but I’m not new to being emotionally and mentally damaged, nor am I new to being around people of all different backgrounds who are just as emotionally and mentally damaged.
I been hearing quite a few things about adults coming to sites and chat rooms for depressed or suicidal teens in particular hell bent on picking up as many impressionable individuals as possible in hopes to find a few victims to prey on.
Let’s face it, a lot of emotional teens can be easy to take advantage of, sometimes you don’t even have to try. I used to help a lot of troubled gang youth a few years back, they weren’t all entirely suicidal, but a lot of them had stories that made some of these here look like a walk in the park. Often times these were young rape victims or abuse victims, and it never failed that after just a few advice or listening sessions, quite a few of them would latch on. This would suck because I absolutely do care about quite a few people, however when our discussions soon turn into you trying to come onto me, and you’re a minor? Then we have a problem and I have to back away, which can cause a huge sense of abandonment for that person, which of course…. Makes me feel like a horrible person!
Anyways, I’ve already heard a few stories from a few people here who have been to these chats and websites, and it seems the predators are working overtime….
Just some advice.
Just because they listen… Doesn’t mean they care.
Just because they give you advice… Doesn’t mean you should have sex with them, or send them nude photos.
Just because they say they like or love you…. Doesn’t mean they do.
Just because they seem to relate to you…. Doesn’t mean they do.
Please please please PLEASE be careful when talking to people about your problems… As an adult with BPD and other nonsense, I myself still find that I can easily get attached to people and end up finding myself sexually engaged quite often. So trust me, I know it can be hard… But it always ends the same, you get hurt, played, or your photos end up on some obscure webpages. Do NOT make it any harder for yourself.
