Why does this happen to me?!

Things change with time. It seems like they never will because of the way things are now and maybe how they have been for a while.

When I was your age, I thought so many things were impossible. I thought my life was over. I lost my mother and my father was fired for sticking to his morals and outing a corrupt boss.

Our family had nothing and my father always yelled at us…every day. Just tons of yelling.

I felt I had nothing except video games. I had “friends” who I didn’t really feel any connection with. My best friend moved to a different town and I felt really alone.

I just played video games and watched TV a lot…waiting for time to slip by.

And finally I went to college and I took control of my own life and did things my way.

Life is stil hard…but at least I’m living on my terms now.

If you want to be happy, strive to do what you want to do. You might not be able to right now because you are young, but you can start preparing. Start learning a new skills that you want to use in the future.

Find your dream and start chasing it now. There may be a lot of waiting and hard work…but it will be worth when you, with your own power, make that dream come true.

You’ll be happy chasing your dream and even happier when you get it. And then you’ll have the opportunity to create your next dream.

So write down some things you want to do. Then start researching on the internet how to do them.

Give yourself a goal. Something to work toward. Doing something that you decided to do, not something someone is making you do, will make you happy.
