Log in to Reply darkwillow 3/20/2016 - 11:24 pm i really don’t know.. Im just freaking out right now.. Log in to Reply beaubri 3/20/2016 - 11:25 pm Would you like to talk about it at all? I’m here for you if need be. Ill be an ear to listen. Log in to Reply darkwillow 3/20/2016 - 11:26 pm im thinking about getting a passport to australia.. I have 2 friends there.. It’ll be my last try, to fix my life.. Log in to Reply darkwillow 3/20/2016 - 11:26 pm and if it doens’t work out there, that’ll be all i guess. Log in to Reply beaubri 3/20/2016 - 11:29 pm What area in the world do you reside curently? I’ve. Planned to move to europe a few month ago. Its quite expensive for a pass port, tickets, everything you’d need, ect. If you decide to leave i could try throw some money your way. It may not be a lot but if movong to Australia is going to help you id do what i can to support you on that. If i may ask, what’s broken in your life? Log in to Reply darkwillow 3/20/2016 - 11:31 pm I have extreme anxiety and super shy so i have no friends or anything now. I have some money.. I was hoping maybe.. i could stay with one of them.. for a bit… because if i stay here, it’llbe the end of me. And in arizona by the way. In the united states. Log in to Reply beaubri 3/20/2016 - 11:37 pm Well i can gather up the $320 for the passport if you decide to go. Its hard to move out of the country. I hope that doesn’t sound of too creepy. But if you choose to deny my offer, that’s ok. If you need help figuring out how to move there i can give you tips and guidelines on how its done. Are your friends willing to take you in for the time being if you do decide to go? Can you trust them? Will you be safe? I have anxiety as well dear, i am also very shy. Those two put together can fester with yourself for a long time. Have you ever tried a method to release all of that anxiety? Log in to Reply beaubri 3/20/2016 - 11:41 pm Darkwillow; im going to get out of the tub and make myself something to eat really quick. I will be back in a few. If i dont hear from you later, you can always give a shout out to me. Log in to Reply darkwillow 3/20/2016 - 11:41 pm I have methods, but my girlfriend just left me an hour or 2 ago so those methods are utterly pointless.. i don’t need money, i’ve been working for a bit. You keep it. And guidance would be so helpful. i don’t know if they will let me stay, ill have to ask them about it, when they’re available.. I’m just freaking out because, they’re not avaliable and its been an hour completely by myself and im so scared. Log in to Reply beaubri 3/20/2016 - 11:54 pm Being alone is one of my biggest fears actually. I won’t. Ask about the relationship, i dont want to cause any harm to you. I can set aside time to walk you through your steps that need to be taken. Your first step is a game plan. Go through your head and figure out the steps you need to take before leaving. Write a list maybe. Example: Figure out where you are staying when you get there (this may change in time) Try to come up with a list of everything you are taking, if anything (the less the better) See how much a pass port costs Get an estimate on when you are leaving and figure out how much plane tickets will cost. Always have an emergency back up plan. In case something goes wrong. You will be able to return home or to another residence if needed. There’s more to it. Moving out of the country is difficult. I will make a post specificly for you sometime soon so you can get on the right track. Just make sure your safe and taken care of. Thats all i ask. Log in to Reply darkwillow 3/20/2016 - 11:42 pm Okay. Thank you. Log in to Reply Not interested in life 3/20/2016 - 11:57 pm are you under 30? then maybe you can get a working holiday visa. It lets you stay for 12 months i think but the intention of it is to work while you are here otherwise its 3 months with an evisitor and they are very easy to get and free… There are other visas but i cant really remember them. its on the immigration website. I’m not here to lecture anyone but if you decide to visit your friends I hope that you will be safe. Make sure you have adequate money to stay but I guess you can work out that with your friends… and if customs ask just tell them that you are working. Don’t look like you are poor or a backpacker. I’m only saying this cuz I wouldn’t want you to get deported if customs get the idea you are going to overstay… You prob knew already but why go to all that effort just to get deported? Its unlikely but it happens I don’t know if i have social anxiety but I consider myself to be a weakling and i don’t like dealing with people … sorry Log in to Reply Not interested in life 3/21/2016 - 12:05 am Yeah agree with what beaubri said… but i would add: – do your trust your friends? Do you think you will be safe with them? – did you meet them offline or online? Well it doesn’t really matter at all, Its just if you have met them online … well, some people are rapists and sick… I’m not saying your friends are that!!! some people are different in real life to online, very different Anyway, this would be part of the reason why you definitely need a backup plan. Not to talk about myself here, but i am thinking of moving overseas myself to be with my online boyfriend… Of course I’d much rather die though… Hopefully you have somewhere you can go if it doesn’t work out. Because things can happen… Back up plans are truly important. Since I’m poor, my back up plan is to off myself. If i don’t die, wow, i think i am screwed… I might need a better one… Log in to Reply Not interested in life 3/21/2016 - 12:18 am Instead of bringing it up in your head over and over, i would probably write a list kind of like this: Plan – get passport – what will you bring with you when you travel? – where will you stay? who will you stay with? – what will you do if it doesn’t work out? need back up plan – how much are plane tickets? – how much money will i take with me? cash/cards etc – are your friends willing to help you settle in there? – do you feel that you can trust your friends? – things for customs I would suggest not looking like a backpacker, i get the feeling they are more likely to be questioned Just in case they question you; its rare but its better to be prepared: – you have links to the US in the form of a job and you live there. You can use this if you need to prove that you are not going to overstay. If you don’t have a job i would say that I’ll come back afterwards and look for one. If you live with parents i would say that i live with them. Money can help with this as well. Try to get a return ticket and if you can’t, then have enough money to get one later on. – do a bit of research about here. Just general info, basic info… i think I’ll stop here cuz i think i sound like a broken record :/ Log in to Reply darkwillow 3/21/2016 - 12:34 am one of them said they’d let me stay. Mom’s agreed and all… .. Oh gosh. Here we go.. This is so much. But im not completely in the suicide mindstate anymore so.. Can i ask about the passport? i don’t really understand them Log in to Reply Not interested in life 3/21/2016 - 12:43 am i live in Australia so i don’t really know about US passports but I’m sure beaubri would… but a passport in general terms is a travel document that lets you travel to different countries. A passport is not the same thing as a visa. A passport is the document you present when leaving a country and entering a country at its borders, usually at an airport. Without a passport you won’t be able to get through Log in to Reply Not interested in life 3/21/2016 - 12:46 am a passport allows for visa free travel to countries, and if a particular country needs a visa, then the visa stamp would go in there. To visit Australia you need an evisitor, which is free and you apply for it online, at most it could take a few days to be approved, but in most cases its instant or a few mins Log in to Reply Not interested in life 3/21/2016 - 12:49 am and you don’t need to go to an embassy or get a stamp in your passport or fill in a mountain of paperwork for an evisitor – its all online. You should probably print out the page which shows that you are approved, but its electronically stored in the passport as well… I’m no good at describing!!! Log in to Reply darkwillow 3/21/2016 - 12:51 am its mailed, right? its just, i live with my parents, and don’t want them to know Log in to Reply Not interested in life 3/21/2016 - 2:13 am It most likely is mailed but I don’t live in the US. I do know that passports are mailed in Australia most of the time Log in to Reply beaubri 3/21/2016 - 12:37 am Not intrested in life; i couldn’t say that any better right now. Im just rambling on tonight. Ill be able to collect everything later in a more organized manner. Log in to Reply beaubri 3/21/2016 - 12:38 am Darkwillow; give me a few minutes to get you the process about getting a pass port. Log in to Reply darkwillow 3/21/2016 - 12:42 am I’m sorry beaubri, im doing quite terrible tonight as well. Do you live in the us? And thank you, for the passport stuff Log in to Reply beaubri 3/21/2016 - 12:54 am Darkwillow; its ok. No need to be sorry. I might not get to the passport stuff until tomorrow though. So it may be a few hours. My boyfriend just got back and idk if he is leaving again or not. So im a little uneasy right now. I actually live in iowa. Log in to Reply darkwillow 3/21/2016 - 12:54 am no problem, talk later 🙂 Log in to Reply darkwillow 3/21/2016 - 12:55 am I was wrong guys.. citizenship is what i think i want.. Log in to Reply beaubri 3/21/2016 - 12:57 am Darkwillow; if you apply for citizenship you wouldnt be able to really come back to the states. Its harder to get a citizen ship in the states than any other place. Even if you were a pervious citizen. I would go for a visa first and see how everything plays out. Log in to Reply darkwillow 3/21/2016 - 1:02 am can i get a visa and then become a citizen before they deport me? Log in to Reply Not interested in life 3/21/2016 - 2:18 am I don’t know where you want to get citizenship but the main ways are marriage, work and family immigration. But the first is to get a visa, and the easiest way to get citizenship is to get married of course, but they clamp down hard on marriages entered into just to get citizenship… Tourist visas don’t allow enough time for you to stay long enough to become a citizen. If your job is in demand here that could be another way, but you would have to work. I don’t know how many years you need to (legally) stay here until you get citizenship Visas are not cheap! Log in to Reply darkwillow 3/21/2016 - 1:57 am Its hopeless. i cant drive and my parents wouldn’t approve. Its 400 usd for a taxi one way to the passport agency. It’s just.. all hopeless. Sorry for wasting your time. Night everyone Log in to Reply Not interested in life 3/21/2016 - 2:20 am A passport is a very good form of identity. Sorry i cant be of any help, but maybe you could say that to them. And then, i know, they would ask, but WHY do you need it for identity? PS: if you are an adult and have enough money to get it and to travel to the passport office (taxi?) ya i don’t think taxis are safe but idk what else you could use, why do you need their permission… Log in to Reply Not interested in life 3/21/2016 - 2:24 am I told my parents that I just wanted to get mine over and done with, since ‘we’ were planning to travel in a couple of years. Photo and guarantor declaration on Australian forms cant be more than 6 months old,… My parents aren’t ever going to approved of me going to Norway if i ever manage… Log in to Reply Not interested in life 3/21/2016 - 2:25 am I’m getting mine soon but even the forms are strict :/ Log in to Reply darkwillow 3/21/2016 - 2:49 pm I’l be deleting this one too.. Sorry again..
