Anyone else here with lupus or other chronic illnesses/autoimmune disorders? Just curious. Today is World Lupus Day. I have lupus, so it’s pretty cool that there’s a whole day to raise awareness about it.

Do you mind if I ask what you have going on, illness wise?
Diabetes, Hashimotos and arthritic psoriasis. The arthritis appears to be in remission though.

Well I am on a suicide site. So it appears not well.
Well, I mean, yea, I get that. I am here too. But you’re still going, that means you make it through somehow. Sorry if that was a stupid question.
I’m just being a smart ass today. I control it with diet for the diabetes but I have been insulin dependent in the past. The hashimotos I take synthroid or since my thyroid no longer functions. As for the psoriasis since I’m in remission I don’t need to do anything but when I get flair ups there really isn’t any pain medication that helps. Nothing really helps. I just keep moving forward.
Sorry you have lupis. Lupus is a real *****. Hashimotos is an autoimmune disease. Basically mh body went to war with my thyroid and the thyroid lost. I often think what if it went to war and my throat won? Would I turn into a giant throid? Lol. It would make for an awesome graphic novel.
I’m sorry to hear you have lupus. I have myalgic encephalopathy. I think tomorrow is our awareness day, but things are happening throughout the week.
