I’m not sure how often I’ll use this site and post on it. I go on here quite a lot and I’ve found many posts relating to my situation. I feel guilty and selfish whenever I’m on here because i feel as if the people on here actually have problems that they need to share. I’m just a dumb angsty teen who has no real reason to be upset.
If I do decide to post more on here you will probably see my very conflicting emotions. One minute I’ll be self hating the other I’ll be hating on others.
Sorry for wasting your time

I hate it when people are condescending when they use the term “teen angst”. It’s not like adults don’t have angst. When you get older your angst merely takes form into various concerns about social/political issues, and the more angst you have the broader your mind is and the more attention you’re paying to the world around you. It’s not a bad thing.

Wrong. The world is fucked up. You have every right to be upset. We’re held down by a greedy, power hungry illegitimate establishment that treats us like nothing more than cattle to do their slave work so those on the top can live easy lives of luxury. That’s one thing to be worried about.
As long as the power dichotomy remains the way it is, your “angst” is, and will always be completely and utterly justified.
You’re missing the point there, if you have issues that trouble you they are important, regardless of your age. Sure, older people might seem to have more serious issues, but that doesn’t mean that yours aren’t important. There’s also the fact that those “angsty teen” issues often are the start point to the “actual problems” that most older people have, so it’s a good idea to deal with them before they turn into something you can’t really manage.
I agree. There is no such thing as too young to suffer. In fact, children often suffer more, and that is what leads to their issues as adults, take PTSD for example. You shouldn’t feel as though your troubles are “unworthy” of attention simply because of your age.
