People say the internet is expanding by the second, and if the possibility of intelligent aliens/ distant life forms are real, I wonder, if they would find this website? Or maybe future generations, after our era of the internet is forgotten, they’ll be dug up from the void of space and used to research our history? I wonder if these posts will be lost completely from all possible physical reference and memory? What would they think in ‘the future’? Or a galaxy far far away?

Oh yes, you do bring up a legitimate concern.
the truth about the internet is that EVERYTHING that is posted or uploaded goes somewhere and governments grab all this data and keep it in databases
so yes, info on the web is never really private… they can link it to your email and link it to your phone that you used to verify your email and they can figure out who posted what for the most part. So YES, it is wise to be careful about what you post on this site or any site for that matter.
That is why the call it Suicide PROJECT
this is a project certain interest groups are playing
Let give people who are depressed and maybe suicidal a chance to post anonymously > but we will make it a project to analyze that data and learn about people like this and try to learn things.
Like > does this type of site help people. What do these people say if they think its anonymous… and how many of them will get better and live and how many will go off and die that way.
i bet for sure that info on this site is going somewhere and people at some point will use that data to learn about people with these issues in life
But on the other hand > I have gotten a lot of help from this site and I come here mostly these days to HELP PEOPLE

Nah, were just a grain of sand on a beach. Our lives are important to us because were inside our brains just now, but no ones gonna give a shit a century or two in the future. Every generation passes, makes space for new arrivals. On SP were just trying to speed things up.
