People are selfish, they will take advantage of you if you let them. It sounds like you already know that, but you say you always fall for the traps anyway. So why would you keep walking into the traps even when you know its a trap? Because you find the bait in the trap so irresistible. It sucks when you have an obvious need and people exploit that need to take advantage of you.
