I think I was a bit inaccurate there. In the series he actually gets someone (Kevin McKidd) to kill him with a sword so I don’t know if that’s technically a suicide. In real life he did it himself.
Why, all the saints and sages who discussed
Of the Two Worlds so learnedly are thrust
Like foolish prophets forth; their words to scorn
Are scattered and their mouths are stopt with dust.
Myself when young did eagerly frequent
Doctor and Saint and heard great argument
About it and about: but evermore
Came out by the same door where in I went
With them the seed of Wisdom did I sow,
And with mine own hand laboured it to grow;
And this was all the harvest that I reaped-
“I came like Water and like Wind I go.”
Into this Universe and why not knowing
Nor Whence, like water willy-nilly flowing;
And out of it as Wind along the waste,
I know not Whither, willy-nilly blowing.
I guess this doesn’t really count as a suicide quote, but it came to mind when seeing your post. It’s part of D. ou g St.an hop’es Die Laughing comedy tour. Suicide is covered in the stand-up but this bit was pretty funny. He brings up a real story of an elderly woman who died from ant bites. Turns out she was bitten 1625 times and so he jokes about complaining about his job when there was someone who actually had to count them. And then he starts, “Ants. How do you explain that one to the grandkids?”
“No, no honey, Nana’s not with us anymore sweetie pea, noo. No see, see God decided that he loved Nana so much he wanted her right there in heaven with him, yeh.
…
So he sent an army of fire ants to tear through the drywall and then slowly chew her to death, where she lay there defenseless and unable to scream. Goodnight :)”
“Mommy will God send fire ants for me someday?”
“Only if you’re good. Only if you’re good and pray everyday then Jesus sends the bugs for ya.”

How’s that a suicidal quote? I don’t get it

There have been times when I’ve thought of suicide but with my luck it’d probably be a temporary solution. ~ Woody Allen
