Interesting photo I’m wondering same.
Mar 20, 2017 @ 12:45:45
Now I’m thinking about you. Just thinking don’t know what. Mysterious photo.
Mar 20, 2017 @ 13:26:17
Thanks, I think?
Mar 20, 2017 @ 13:31:21
I’m trying to figure out how you got that shot. And my only conclusion is that you have extremely bendy arms…
Anyway, this one hit quite close to home. You know how I feel about isolation, and how I described how it constantly feels for me (looking through a window or rift). Weirdly enough, today my feeling of isolation was even more pronounced. So, this came at the right time for me. I can truly relate to everything I can see being expressed by your face and hand.
Mar 20, 2017 @ 13:52:28
Shhh… It’s magic 🙂
But really, it was at work yesterday. They just painted the store and office. After it was painted it was stark white and gray (I imagined it’s what a prison would look like). That is the office door, I had it slightly ajar. I stuck my arm around the outside while I stood behind and caught my image in the window, with my fingers pressed against the glass. Sounds lame now that I’ve described how I got the image… But I tried portray my feelings
Mar 20, 2017 @ 13:59:02
Haha, if only.
Doesn’t sound lame to me. It sounds like solid creative thinking. And you definitely succeeded in portraying your feelings. Hence me being able to relate to them so easily.
Mar 20, 2017 @ 14:39:59
Thanks, and I enjoy knowing that you can relate

How is your day going?
Mar 20, 2017 @ 15:28:50
I want to know what’s going on in your mind
Mar 20, 2017 @ 15:58:32
My day has been alright. I’ve been trying to get on top of some work I want to finish by the end of the week. It’s been a struggle, but I think I’ll manage. How’s your day been?
I’ve been thinking about a couple of things, but the main one would be about the connections we have with other people. I’ve been thinking about their potential strength, and their influence.
Mar 20, 2017 @ 16:31:40
My day has been ok too. I had to bring my mother for a colonoscopy today (sorry if TMI). I had to be up for 5am, and drive to her/bring her to her appointment at 7am. The procedure was a couple hours. After I went back home and hung with my brother, he’s staying the night (he’s sleeping now bc he is a night owl and works nights and so stays up at night). My brother and I have a good relationship, but somewhat weird because we are 7yrs apart and have both been through stuff. He’s told me recently that I’m more like a parent to him, and that he’s always preferred our connection over anything with our mother (and especially our father). Blah blah blah, boring information
What specifically about connections? I think about that too. Someone once told me that strong connections are like a tapestry, it’s woven together.
Mar 20, 2017 @ 16:54:47
Ah, a colonoscopy… the most royal of all medical checkups. Joking aside, it’s ok, it’s never too much information. And it’s good to hear that you’ve got such a good relationship with your brother. Your brother’s sentiment often happens in other cases. When parents don’t exactly live up to their roles, putting it fucking lightly on one side, siblings tend to form closer bonds. O and I don’t find it to be boring information. You decided to share it, and as such it’ll never be boring, it has significance.
Ha, that sounds like something I would say, and I agree with that statement. However, that doesn’t mean that the tapestry can’t tear and fray. I’ve seen it happen, and in some cases, one is forced to tear it intentionally. To try to cut away the threads… such a horrible process. Maybe I’m not the best person to talk about this subject. I haven’t been an adequate weaver, to extend the metaphor.
Mar 20, 2017 @ 17:08:20
I suck at weaving myself.
Mar 20, 2017 @ 17:10:45
I’m going to stay up to hang with my brother tonight, I’ll be loopy and stuff but I’m off tomorrow. He’ll wake up around 9pm because he is picking up a video game “Mass Effect”
Mar 20, 2017 @ 16:57:21
braiNsane- trust me, your mom had a worse day than you, lol

I like it.
It’s like someone’s in the asylum, looking out the door (not necessarily you…) but someone… insane. But shouldn’t be there… maybe.
There’s a screw missing in the window frame… how long have they been pounding on the door, the window?
Then I realize: I’m on the outside… so, they’re looking at me… and I have the power to open the door…
Mar 20, 2017 @ 14:55:36
Nice interpretation 🙂
Mar 20, 2017 @ 13:55:03
. . . on the inside looking out.
Mar 20, 2017 @ 13:59:45
Ok, so if this was a picture of me, I’d call it “Missing a screw.” Not only would it describe the missing screw, but me as well.
Mar 20, 2017 @ 14:20:33
I thought of loosenut :p
Mar 20, 2017 @ 14:20:43
However this is most interesting and mysterious photo ever I’ve seen. Even you described how you captured this I’m still confused when I’m looking at. But hey finally i get it 🙂
Mar 20, 2017 @ 14:42:30
Thank you woodesity
Mar 20, 2017 @ 14:40:45
Haha! I did notice that missing screw, it actually annoyed me at first, but now it’s made me smile
Mar 20, 2017 @ 14:42:52
This was @ Chip
Mar 20, 2017 @ 14:48:42
That is attractive frame. It’s hard to find perfect frame lol. Didn’t affected image overall at all.
Mar 20, 2017 @ 15:08:29
What it looks like to be a prisoner of your own mind. You want to reach out, but at the same time you don’t. Reaching out would mean you have to face your fears/insecurities and start being a part of the world again. You have to face people again, do things and be forced to make decisions. No wonder isolation is comforting. Eventually, we have to all open that door and step out. Great picture!

A relatively easy photo for you to take, and the servers gonna crash because of all the comments. If this was on a postcard, I’d buy it and hang it on my wall, cuz it evokes some odd emotions.
Mar 20, 2017 @ 15:24:42
Thank you, really
Mar 20, 2017 @ 15:29:17
Also I’d still like to see some of your stuff
Mar 20, 2017 @ 16:14:26
I’ll dig some pics out of mothballs. . . Might be a few days.
Mar 20, 2017 @ 16:22:46
You don’t have to if its a project and you don’t feel like it, I’m just curious
Mar 20, 2017 @ 19:16:36
I’ll put up a few. . . I shot mostly nature stuff, so it seems like it would be out of context for this site, if that makes sense. It’s also from a different life. I’ve been trying to muster the desire to return to the hobby for about 5 years now, but it just isn’t happening, not sure why. I learned something about myself during the time I was active. I took thousands of pictures, and would venture to guess that fewer than ten of them were of people. That fact gave me a lot of insight into who I am. A loner, afraid of people. It’ll be fun to dig them out though, and re-live some interesting times. I was a trucker and got to see some cool stuff.
Mar 20, 2017 @ 19:45:31
I get what you’re saying… I still want to see 🙂
