I once had a PO box. It was setup in about 20 minutes in person. They offered several different sizes to choose from. It worked just as well as home delivery for small mail pieces and it had 24/7 access. For parcels too large to fit it they put a note in my PO box and I simply picked them up at the counter during business hours. Did this answer your question?
It seems fairly easy if setup is about 20 mins, but I am having problems leaving my apt. I wanted to order something, but it’s too difficult. The PO is 2 blocks up a hill, maybe 4/5 blocks to the right/left, I’m not sure. I am now without a car. Every small task has become very difficult again.
Hi a1957 – I have not left my home during the day since it happened. It’s from depression caused by what happened, feeling scared and having anxiety, and difficulty accomplishing small tasks. I had this problem last time I felt traumatized by a life event. I had a very hard time being outside without feeling badly for over two years – the feeling of trauma when I am out on my own, feeling lost and afraid of feeling so bad while far away from home. I walk fine, but yes, but other special needs, just not that.
This sounds so serious. I know putting a label on it doesn’t solve it. Agoraphobia comes to mind. I could be wrong. This really must suck. This is just the outside part.
Then there is being far from home…
I’ve heard of that yes, but never associated myself with it. I’ve only gone out at night to get groceries a few times a week since it happened. I have to go out tonight to get a few things and I’m not feeling okay about it at all. I was doing better, functioning and being productive before it happened.
Yeah, I mean when you have a major person in your life just abandon you I can imagine that making functioning much harder. I am about to sign off for tonight but before I do I want to say thanks for posting Riverside – Obel. I listen to it several times a day. I plan to check back tomorrow. I hope you get good (or better) sleep.

I remember you mentioned special needs in an earlier post. Is walking getting really hard these days?
