Saw Chris killed himself today. Just makes me think.. When people like Robin Williams or Chris Cornell or other people of means and fame.. people with wonderful people who love them can’t make it in this world… what chance do people like me have?? I dont have a 100th of what they had. If this life wasnt good enough for them, why am I even trying??

Robin Williams long running cocaine addiction liquefied parts of his brain. No amount of money can fix that.
If you were traumatized as a child, depressive behavior can be unlearned. If you have a biological chemical imbalance, drugs may help you.
Perspective works both ways.
Nice to know I’m not the only one who had this thought.
Nothing masks humanity and it’s frail tendencies. Not money, fame, anything. It’s always there, under the masks, and it alone decides. Rich, poor, black, white. Noone escapes themselves.
Not looking good for us ordinary people. I would add George Michael to the list whether or not suicide is the official conclusion he had a history of depression, suicide attempts and self destructive drug use. In each case, fancy rehab retreats, the best mental healthcare available, and dedicated loved ones and tens of thousands of supportive fans couldn’t save them. So you’re right. What hope do I have alone, unknown and practically broke.
Too lazy to look it up, but it would seem to me that more famous people kill themselves (percentage-wise) than non famous (or even infamous for that matter). Anyone want to look that up? @1957?
