(for those who don’t know what a Death Note is, look it up. It’s something every suicidal person wants).

In the midst of my demise, I found two necklaces, in their boxes in the snow. Idiot that I am (this is embarrassing to admit) I thought G-d was sending me a message (not in a schizophrenic way, no offense to schizophrenics at all, just saying it was qualitatively different). I thought the message was one of hope and healing.
Quite literally thought it was a gift deemed by G-d. The one I gave away, the other I kept.
Now I usually just find empty bottles of hooch and used condoms, but I don’t usually keep those.
When I was a kid, my friends and I were digging a fort into a side of a hill behind my house, when we began to unearth bones. They were in pretty good condition. I was sure, as any 10 year old fort digger would be, that we had located a centuries old dinosaur, so I got my Dad, to break the good news to him. He asked to see where we had made our grand paleological find. Bringing him to the site, he calmly asked us to return the bones to their resting place and find another place to dig.
“Sukoshi”, in Japanese means “little”, and the bones we uncovered, were his, not those of a T-rex or mastodon. We had a “little” Terrier mutt that died a few years prior, named Sukoshi, and we found him!!
Awwww.
Are you Japanese?
No, I’m not, but my Dad was stationed in Japan in the army in the ’50’s and developed an affinity for things Japanese, so he named the dog that.
