how can i feel better?

i have depression – i mostly just sit in my room, and scroll aimlessly through the internet for hours.

what type of things can i do to make myself feel better? bear in mind, i’m only 13.

Hi!

As long as you live in a safe neighborhood, the best advice I can give you is to just open the door and get outside the house, **even if it’s only for 5 minutes the first time**. Small goals.

Do you have any friends you can hang out with? If not, school for you will be starting soon, I’m guessing. Maybe you can find people there to hang with?

Thirteen is a bi*ch. It was hard for me (and that was a lonnng time ago for me 🙂 ). It was tough on my kid. But it will get better. Hopefully your parents/sibs are supportive if you talk to them.

Try to find things you can enjoy, or relate to (like characters in a show 🙂 )
Even if you stay in your room you’ll feel better if you can do something stimulating for you.
