It’s time for driverless cars- cars that can drive themselves. Clearly humans can’t be trusted to drive properly. How many car accidents are there a year? a day? TONS. How many times do people cut you off, sudden brake, tail gait, won’t let you merge, pass or exit? How many times do people needless engage in car horn wars that pollute the air and irritate your eardrums? Daily.
How many times do people hit pedestrians? Or nearly hit them? How many times do people drive drunk or tired? How many collisions and near collisions are there? Way way too many.
Not saying all ability for autonomous driving should be taken away, but clearly at least 50% of the people on the road should not be on the road.

I saw in the news an accident between a driverless car and a truck. The truck backed into the driverless car. They said if the truck was also driverless there wouldn’t have been an accident. Makes ya wonder if it has to be all cars driverless or none?
Well, if all cars became driverless, the accident rate will drop to nearly nothing. Then what error would be programming error, which would still be a human’s fault.
