which country (or state) would you choose? why?
I live in the US, a supposed first world nation, a self-proclaimed “#1 country in the world” for decades, and yet our leaders refuse to give us basic things like universal health care, which almost all other first world countries have. And try to shut down things like freedom of speech if you dare disagree with our ‘dear leaders.’ If I had a choice, I’d move elsewhere. But where?

Norway
Scotland.
Norway, Sweden or Denmark. The people always seem so happy over there. I am from the U.S. and life ain’t so great here.
Yes, so I hear. If I could live there, I would. But they don’t want any of us “dumb Americans.” Legal immigration from the US is hard to get there.
israel
Do you qualify as Jewish under their Law of Return? If so, you have the right to move there and become a citizen.
yes, i qualify, 100%. israel has been my home away from home since ii 14 years of age. i have family who live there. beautiful country!
New Zealand maybe? Or if I stayed in the US, perhaps Utah or Colorado. Somewhere where life doesn’t revolve around getting the latest phone/app/gadget/car/fashion/whatever.
Scandinavia does sound nice but personally I couldn’t handle having only 6 hours of daylight in the winter.
You get it back in the summer. 18hours of daylight
My answer used to be Norway but idc anymore.
Once I become more fluent in German, it would be interesting to live in Germany.
I was there for a brief visit many years ago, and would love to go back.
I’d try Canada. No real reason other than when I waste time watching the news, there seems to be very little american style insanity occurring there, and, years back, I met a Canadian truck driver who told me he’d never live in the u.s. because “you guys are crazy down here.” Lol. I’ve never forgotten that.
canada is absolutely beautiful in so many ways…except the winters. unbelievably cold in most places. great medical system, down to earth people. very little drama…political or otherwise.
Canada, you guys have the sexiest Prime Minister 😉
really, Canada does sound way better than the US (minus the cold weather)
He is a fine looking man. Those are rare in politics.
You’ve clearly never met Chucky Schumer.
Can we, like, borrow Justin Trudeau for 8 years? 😛
Antarctica. Emperor penguins are surprisingly easy to coexist with.
Borrow Trudeau? Im afraid he’ll end up like Kennedy did.
I guess here, Canada or where my online bf grew up in ( won’t mention). I live here, he lives in Canada.
I’ve thought of this I most definitely want to move overseas from America….. if I ever could. I first approached the idea of Japan or China, they have technology cafes that young adults can bunk in for cheap, then I approached the idea of Spain or France, then I approached the idea of Sweden where my grandfather is from, then I approached the idea of Greenland (because I hate the massive crowds and massive population is utterly overwhelming to me, making life seem not even worth living with so many unlikeable people all over the place!) Greenland is the least population dense so you’d get some peace maybe for once in your life. Meh, where I live now is terrible. So…. I’m into architecture and stuff. I like any place that has a grand design. But mostly I’m into outback living and that is probably more attainable for me but still very far away (until then I am trapped.) I always planned build a home – just my own two hands- out in forest area. In my state. Some people round here though…. most hillbilly per capita no joke XD
Not much motivation to move anywhere. It’s hard to imagine anywhere would really make life better. I guess maybe another planet would be nice.
