1. The Internet – ’twas once upon a time when there was no Internet. However did we such uncivilized beings live back then?? ’twas the “dark ages”…
2. Delivery – how else can we- the depressed, the introverted, the misanthropes, the agoraphobics, the disabled, the shut-ins, the emotionally “off”- live?
hmm, that’s all I got. What are you glad exists? What can you not live without or would have a total decline in life without (aside from the basics- food, water, housing, waste removal, etc)?
Well, I suppose I would trade it all for non-existence, but that’s a different post…

What do you have delivered? I sometimes get candy delivered, even though I live right across the street from a supermarket. It costs probably three times as much to have it delivered, but it’s convenient when you don’t want to be seen in public.
Nature in general. I’m really sad we’re decimating nature as much as we are.
Also just culture in the broadest sense. Literature, music, visual arts, sports, etc. etc. etc.
I realise that was very general. A bit of a cop-out.
what KIND of candy though? If you’re talking those tiny gummy hamburgers, okay, but Reese’s aren’t worth the wait or the money.
Agree on Reese’s. I prefer winegums too. Dunno if I’ve ever tasted the hamburgers. But some HARIBO, I guess? Maybe a Snickers?
i could not not live without watching little house on the prairie every day, pretending that i live i walnut grove.
Lol.
I would have to agree that delivery is wonderful. I actually enjoy shopping for food. But I’m physically unable to get a large order. We have this thing called Peapod. I can shop with my phone and have my market order brought to my house. Everything from produce, dairy, frozen vegetables, meat and even candy. Not really saving money with delivery and tips but at least there’s food in the house.
Yes, omg, some people like me just can’t live without delivery- from restaurants as well as grocery stores.
I wish there was a mass pick-up option: there’s a bunch of restaurants in downtown I would like food from, so it would be awesome if I could place a phone order from them, and have 1 person come and pick it all up, and deliver it to me. Downtown is only like 3mi away. But it’s gotten too difficult for me to do myself.
As of right now, I can only order 1 giant order from 1 place at a time, and most food places I like to get food from aren’t on the list.
Have you heard of Uber eats?
Yes, but I’ve been having problems with signing in to uber the last few months
They can pick up orders from multiple restaurants in one go? One flat fee or multiple fees (one fee per pickup, even if the next pickup is the restaurant next door)? cuz that could get pretty expensive. $5 per pickup with 4 pickups = $20 just for one delivery.
I’m glad weed exists and recreational weed legalization exists because then I can drive to state next door to me and pick some up. (It’s like an hour each way) – Woo.
I’m glad motors exist so I can get to Oregon to get my weed.
I’m glad death exists. Or does it. I would let you know but that technology hasn’t been invented yet.
