This is my favorite paradox because how can one be nothing. I find comfort in knowing that I can’t be nothing and this gives me a little bit of hope when I’m down. I hope you find comfort in knowing that you can’t be nothing.
Your post and moniker evokes the mythical tale of Laelaps and the Teumessian fox. A hopeless fable and paradox that eventually spawned the brightest star in the night sky, Sirius.
It’s a fleeting yet pleasant thought knowing a story of sadness and losing companion could create a constellation, then lucidity sets in and reminds me that the glowing white star many seek comfort in originated through discomfort, and that comfort, too, is a paradox; temporary relief, unobtainable without first experiencing discomfort.
“No” words, like NO-body and NO-thing, drive me nuts.
They should remove them from the dictionary or add YESbody + YESthing.
2nd most annoying words, (a paradox) is Some-body + Something.
Like in the sentence,
“Somebody or something
should/would/could help you”.
Some is pretty close to None, in that it is meaningless and
probably does not exist.
But I am 1-body who agrees you are a very real and special body;
And I know everybody agrees 🙂
Like you said,
It is impossible to be nobody + nothing. (Does not exist).
Thank goodness, cause I already feel invisible,
so if I thought I was nobody/nothing I likely would just disappear right now.
Hi- I haven’t been here in awhile- Say your note in my email box (guess they forwards replies to threads I wrote on?…Anyway, I don’t know if you were responding to me, but regardless I just wanted to tell you, and everyone here that you are not nobodies!
Every day, people of this world lie, treating many of us as either invisible or nobodies – Those people are the problem, not us. (They lack compassion, decency and everything else. Hope I can add just 1 more comment (and not be pounced on for my sometimes strong opinions of the decadence in this world)…
And it is_ J said, “…all law + prophets
(that pretty much means everything in life)
…hang (rest/depend) on The Two Greatest Commandments…”…
And someone clever wrote “2=10” (which means if you can follow these 2 commandments you will be following all 10)-
And the 2 ARE: 1. Love God
2. Love your neighbors.
(Thats just my summary -1+2 – Full verse can be read in any bible at: Matthew 22:36-40

This has nothing to do with the post, but I’m interested in having a conversation with you Night In Atlantis, is there a way I can contact you?
You’ve piqued my interest, ArwenOfAstora. There’s a comment awaiting you.
