I think there is is specific reason specific to each person who completes. It has been said, essentially, that suicide is what we do when we are unwilling to live on under the conditions we face.
I have read of a few suicides where the reason was very specific and not subject to conceivable change.
Of course therapy challenges us to reevaluate and revamp what we are facing when that is possible. That is a whole new subject.
It’s rarely one reason. But there should be A REASON at least. Most suicides are senseless acts of desperation and ignorance. Mental illnesses are a thing. Physiological and psychological aspects both play a role. Suicide should be a conscious choice. If your influenced significantly by clinical depression and whatever else~ then it isn’t really a “choice” is it.
