what do you do for stress? ive tried OTC supplements. i cant take them. ive tried talking. it just makes it worse. ive tried meditating, deep breathing. it doesnt help. i now have health problems. chest pains, headaches, possibly nausea i have been feeling kinda sick for about a month. its not that bad yet. it can get worse. Depression and anxiety. Pain of any kind. Sleep problems. Autoimmune diseases. Digestive problems. those are just some of the problems. theres many more. from where i sit, i see no way to relieve my stress. its starting to scare me. im in constant physical pain and i just want it to stop.

Research (and if possible try) Metacognitive Therapy (MCT). It say that the problem is not the CONTENT of your thoughts, but your thoughts ABOUT your thoughts. In other words, it isn’t WHAT you think that is the problem, but HOW. Metacognitive Therapy seeks to remedy this in several ways. It teaches you to separate your self from your thoughts. And to accept that thoughts pop into your head without feeling obligated to suppress them or engage with them. It also teaches you to gain better control of your attention. The results of this kind of therapy are truly impressive. If you want to master it, read Adrian Wells’ book Metacognitive Therapy for Anxiety and Depression. It is an academic book and poorly written, but the content is possibly revolutionary. And despite the title, it doesn’t exclusively deal with anxiety and depression.

Its not just my thoughts. There’s people in my life that stress me out and I can’t get rid of them. Its not an option
