So I have prided myself at times in discovering tracks that I found to be emotionally moving, whether from a movie or TV show, or simply something I came across on YouTube. My dark days as of late has prompted me to put together a list of songs and make a CD for myself. I tentatively labelled it “Suicide CD” and now have over a dozen tracks added. After seeing some other posts of people expressing their feelings through music I thought I would start sharing my personal CD compilation, one at a time. I don’t always pay close attention to words, but sometimes I do. Mostly it is about how the sound is able to move my emotions and bring forth feelings within myself; some very sad and dark, some very inspirational to the point it brings tears to my eyes for wanting something so badly. This CD is literally being compiled with tracks that I would want played at my funeral, whenever that may be. I will start off with this track that I discovered from a series called Vice Principles, this track hits at a very emotional time in the show…slow motion and the whole nine yards. I instantly took a liking to it and later found it online. It takes me to a place, good or bad, it gives me goosebumps like others on my list, and I wanted to share them with you. Some music is simply larger than life. This first track is ‘Roost’ by BigBlackDelta. If you have a favorite moving piece of music, share it with me in the comments…I’d love to hear it.

(My Fear Of An Unlived Life) by Senses Fail
Watcher, good track. The voice in the 2nd half is very indicative of the angst I feel at my lowest times.
Glad you enjoyed it.
This reminds me of a book I read called Playlist for the Dead, about a guy that makes a playlist before he commits suicide.. I have started my own after reading it, it sits in my YouTube playlist titled “Playlist for the Dead” .. it’s not very good or even complete but I guess I can share a track.. Bob Dylan, “Knocking on Heaven’s Door” or the Guns and Roses have a version.
I do like the G&R version…I love 80s hairbands
