Hi. Aside from the class thing which I think means not going to it. None of that is bad.
You’re not the first kid to flunk out of post secondary. It happens all the time.
It can be hard to get focused in life, what with the world being crazy and all.
My buddy from high school flunked right out of university when he went there. Smart guy, used to get 90+ in everything and didn’t even have to study. After he flunked out of university, he turned to drugs. Eventually he freaked out on LSD and it made him get his shit together.
He is now a medical doctor and a successful politician, and far too important to hang around with white trash like me anymore.
Don’t know what to tell you though about the financial implications of this. You are probably in the United States where if you are not rich, you will never recover from a mistake.
If you are from a rich family, you can be a cokehead alcoholic who never had a job until they were 40 and become president. See GWB.
So anyways, in 20 years when you are a homeless, toothless waif, you can feel good knowing at least you are free, unlike in communist Finland where university is provided without cost. That would be terrible.
Firstly you probably shouldn’t give away too much personal info for decency’s sake. Second you’re not the first to make major fuk-ups in your life, we’ve all made huge blunders.
We’d all love to turn back time and fix our mistakes but we can’t. All we can do is learn from them and to be a better person going forward. You’re failing physics because you probably missed out on the fundamentals and are trying to pass a more advanced level.
What you need is to quickly refresh yourself in the basics so that you can understand the material at a higher level. I was always good at math/science so it wasn’t too difficult for me to succeed in that area.
In your case you probably need to get a job and save up money to pay for your courses if the university doesn’t offer you loans or grants and if your parents have no cash to send you for one more year.
Do not give up-this is your last year and it’ll shape the rest of your life. Even if it takes you another 2 years, just finish the program so that you have the degree to put on your resume.
Also I think you probably learned your lesson but you need to be very disciplined with yourself and not let things slide again.
Perhaps your parents can take out a loan or put it on a credit-line and you can pay them back when you are working after you get your education.
Incidentally, I have a relative who’s not very bright and he needed all kinds of tutors and help to finish school. He eventually got a diploma in computer programming and he’s earning double the average salary here and he’ll be making 6 figures in a couple of years.
It just goes to show one can overcome many difficult odds and still do really well if they are determined enough.
