Has anyone ever had calcification in your shoulder? Like calcium deposits that build up. I’ve had it in my shoulder blade for six days and this pain ranks with any depression I’ve ever had. It’s a constant sharp pain that doesn’t go away unless I sleep flat on my back and when I get up and move around the pain returns. It’s driving me crazy. I’m going to the emergency room at the hospital tomorrow.
I read on the internet that a radiologist can stick a needle in and wash out the calcium. I’m glad I came across that because I know the alternative is to have an operation where they scrape it off your shoulder and I want to do the thing that’s the least invasive.

Misery. I’ve had and still have shoulder issues. The least invasive surgery will be best, much easier to recover from. Good luck.
Thanks Once. I went to the emergency room this morning because I couldn’t stand it anymore. The doctor examined me and saw a rib was out of place in my shoulder and pressed it back in place. He did an x ray and it wasn’t calcification like I thought it was. It was just that rib being out of place. I didn’t even know we had ribs in the back of our body. It still hurts but one thing is, I can take full breaths so it feels better already. He prescribed me some medication for the pain and to help it heal.
I just want to add one more thing. You seem like a pretty spiritual guy so I don’t think you’ll mind me adding this. When I say Spiritual I’m not talking about whether you believe in God. If I remember correctly you’re an atheist. No problem at all with that bro. I believe in a Supreme Being but that’s just me. When I say spiritual I mean the way you care for animals. That’s extremely spiritual in my book.
Anyway the thing I want to say is this episode taught me to be grateful for my physical health. I used to pray for cancer so I could get the fuck out of here but I don’t do that anymore. This thing taught me to be grateful for my physical health because you don’t know what you have until you lose it. I just wanted to add that.
Two things. First, I didn’t realize the rib/shoulder connection existed also. That’s bizarre, but at least that’s all it was. Good for you.
Second, I don’t have a lot of time to reply right now, so I’ll just say thank you for these words. They help a great deal right now, today. My cat is sick and will need to be euthanized very soon, and well, I am learning how fortunate I was to have him for 7 years, and how fortunate I was to be able to care for him for 7 years. Yeah. Blessings aren’t always visible when they’re happening – often they have to be take from us before we see them. Thanks Gary. Stay cool.
I have calcium deposits all along my legs all down the Tibia bone, both legs. Then I started noticing I got some on my pelvic bones, then I got them on my arm bones and damn then I even noticed I got them along my stomach under the skin. It’s weird and drives me crazy when I touch them but otherwise not painful..
