I never been a cutter I’m sorry, It’s hard for me to understand? But I do know people can get addicted to things that are bad for them, I actually hate that because it leaves scares and most regret them later, I don’t want that for you. I wish you would stop. And this is going to sound really dumb can’t you just slap yourself in the face when you want to hurt yourself instead? Sorry i’m so dumb.
Rocketman means well, but please don’t try to replace cutting with slapping yourself in the face. Yes you can try to replace it with something else, but I would recommend snapping yourself with a rubber band or maybe placing an ice cube on your palm, or possibly even rubbing hot sauce on your skin if you really must hurt yourself…. All of those options are less harmful than hitting or cutting are. The last one with hot sauce is my lease recommended, and the first one is kind of cliche but did actually help me when I gave it a try.
Cutting is hard, and it does become habit and you need more to get the same thing from it. (at least in my experience) If you have desire to stop cutting now is always the best time to start. If you currently have no desire to stop, just try to be safe please. Make sure to have at least some gauze and medical tape or gauze wrap around for when you need it. Steri strips are also nice sometimes. Polysporin might be nice for after things have started to heal a bit, I’m not certain if you should put it on a deep cut though, I’ve personally never used it. Bandaids I stopped wasting time with fairly quickly, because if a bandaid can deal with it in my opinion it will be fine on its own. That’s just some quality of life advice that I have, I do hope that you do not find any of this annoying.
Please don’t, it’s not a very nice thing to start. Scars suck, and continue to ruin my life even after I’ve mostly quit…. Maybe try finding something else to do to address the feeling of wanting to cut?

I want to cut too but too stupid to know as to how. Do you guys use it with a knife or something?
