I’m trying to find an empathetic group / place that empathetically supports suicide. Maybe that’s here? I know, I’m ready … I’d like maybe a couple tips or feedback on method. But I don’t want anything else. Does that happen here?
Not particularly, they’re quite strict on sharing methods etc. But this space is open to talking about topics relating to suicide ie life, loss, pain and desperation.
Most of us are empathetic, some of us (eg me) are just honest. Sometimes that includes empathy, but sometimes that’s a slap on the wrist and telling someone to look at the bigger picture. Empathy isn’t something you dish out to everyone — if you do, it just becomes fake. And fakeness won’t actually help anyone.
Honesty now, there’s something that has the power to save people. My personal advice is, come to SP with the expectation that people will give you their honest opinions on the secrets you share. That means vulnerability, that means sometimes reading hurtful things. Sticks and stones.
If you want fake empathy, you can go anywhere. Honesty, you won’t get in society, however. Honest responses from complete strangers to your deepest, darkest secrets. That’s a super valuable thing, and in my opinion that is what makes SP a good forum.

kinda yeah, we don’t rly share methods though. i think those get deleted. open mindedness about suicide is a pretty common thing here though
not all get deleted. i shared many times details about methods, challenges which weren’t deleted.
i am willing to give information if you reach me.
