Self-Protection—— ^OvO^ —————- Night-Owl here———————–

I was out geocaching with my friends last summer. We always did it at night in the backroads and graveyards and abandoned churches in the woods. I guess we ticked off a truck driver one night because he called the police on us. Anyway, the cop asked us what we were doing out there, and so we told him, and he thought it was cool because he’s never heard of geocaching or a geocaching app. Then he asked us if we had something better than pepper spray for self-protection, since, we loved doing this stuff at night. I didn’t, though, owning a stun gun sounded like fun, lol. I own a revolver, but it’s in storage somewhere at a friend’s house. (My girlfriend’s a felon). I could probably find a loophole, and install a gun-safe lockbox in my car and try off-street parking right outside my alley, but it’s too much trouble lol and I don’t see a point in it. Thank goodness for friends, the sane type that’s boring and routine and knows what they’re doing. I’d love owning a stun gun, though. For how much I travel at night, it would be useful. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been greeted by weirdos since I could drive. Walk up to your car and open the door- wtf are you doing – weirdos. Nobody does that normally, obviously, in pitch blackness at a college campus, (I was visiting my sister), it was freaky!  I didn’t need a taster etc at that moment but what if I didn’t lock my door, lol. It’d be cool to apply for a carry permit and maybe take a class or something. I’m thinking about it.
I’m also buying a new truck soon. :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD I’m such a boss right now.

Unpopular opinion, but I always felt like predators and cops share one thing in common and that is the hypersensitive eye that looks for an opposing side; game.  blip of thought. maybe it’s black and white. idk.

I’ve never had anything that sketchy happen to me at night, which I’m very vigilant when in public so that’s likely why…. If I’m in a parking lot at night and I see a person anywhere nearby, I will move the car somewhere else. -_-
The sketchiest thing I’ve ever seen was an old guy by a boat launch with a group of very old people at 2am in a park while playing pogo…. I had two other people in the car with me, it was an odd thing to see. Mostly due to the way he walked, it was odd…. We probably shouldn’t have made fun of it, but we did :/ Night time hiking is something I enjoy doing with friends too, I don’t think I’d do it alone though, I don’t really want to be abducted or injured and left helpless for possibly a couple days…. I’m fine if I was to be murdered, but I don’t want either of those to happen…. Also I make sure that I can out run the friends I’m with, just in case abduction does happen, then it won’t be me…. Night does generally feel safer to me though, there are less people…. And most bad things here do seem to happen during the day so…. It might actually be safer. And I’m paranoid to the point where I’m always aware of my surroundings and untrusting of everybody…. So that may be helpful.

I normally wouldn’t support outrunning your friends in the dark… but you could give the slow one a glowstick necklace. Make them sort of a pre-planned sacrifice.
Yeah, I didn’t get what was going on, because while walking to my car I was being followed across this large parking lot. Usually, if someone needed help they’d ask or something. The guy walked up to my car shortly after I got in and locked it, freaked out. He wasn’t really saying anything, mumbling or something. but at that point, him trying to open my door…… I turned the car on and drove off, like “shitshitshitshitshit” I was 18 at that point.
