Try a site called The Bus Stop (Chronic Suicide Support). It has a different vibe that you may be looking for, and I’m pretty sure most members are 30-60.
There’s definitely a big difference in suicidal thoughts amongst different age groups. Suicide is suicide, but it’s good to connect with people you can relate to.
“Our issues, concerns and obligations are different. Does anyone agree?”
Partially agree. Some middle-aged people still have issues that have carried over from their youths (that keep hovering over them like an ominous cloud) and now they have to assume additional problems that come with being middle-aged.
That said, I wouldn’t mind a category dedicated to middle-aged and/or elderly people’s struggles.
I agree. I mean, I’m 30. And I don’t kill myself because my mom and one sister depend on me financially. But I wake up every morning in a panicked state because of my awful job and the weight of my debts and the responsibilities lied upon me.
