personalities?

by Abandoned

what does that mean? you have all these different personalities and……idk enough about the subject to even ask proper questions hang on lol.

yep still confused by it. im hoping someone can make it make sense. also apparently im INFJ-T according to https://www.16personalities.com/ which i find really cute because i have a personality disorder which makes me wonder how accurate it actual is. would that be like my prominent personality?

so theres 16 personalities and yet everyone is unique. no one is exactly the same. how can you clump billions of people into 16 groups when everyone is different. however i think im starting to understand how the letters work. but still really confused by the whole thing. i mean how would they handle someone that has a personality disorder like me?

I think they tell you a bit about a person, but they’re far from conclusive. I usually come out as INFP (Mediators), which is sometimes how I act in conversations, but they list a whole bunch of positive qualities that don’t fit me. I suppose personality disorders might kind of be like ‘distortions’ of your original personality.

There’s also the ‘Big 5 Personality Traits’, which seems to have more scientific backing than Myers-Briggs. Bottom line is we really like putting people into boxes. Use what seems to fit you, ignore the rest.

What would my “original” personality be. The more I look back at my past the more I wonder if I was born with this disorder. Kind of like I was born to a life of misery no matter what life I lead.

“Use what seems to fit you, ignore the rest.” you’re right about that though. Lol. I don’t pay much attention to that kind of stuff. I’m me and if you don’t like it I’m sure there’s someone else that cares because I don’t lol.

Yeah, it seems accurate to some degree, probably like a horoscope, it’s always somewhat accurate.
