Where are you from?
Btw that doesn’t really mean a lot. 8 years ago my country was on top of that list lol
OFC it means a lot where one is born. Imagine if you were born in Afghanistan or N. Korea or certain places in Africa? Where one is born DEFINITELY affects one’s life.
Now, ofc that doesn’t mean you’re guaranteed to be ‘happy’ if you live in one of the top 10 places listed above, but I sure af won’t want to be born or living in any of those war-torn poverty stricken places. It’s like a casino- you’re not guaranteed to win but your odds of ‘winning’ are much better in some countries than others.
And no, also on the flip side bc I know there’s LOTS of ppl who always say this, just bc we are living in a first world country doesn’t mean we have no right to complain or be depressed bc we’re not starving.
Anyhoo, I would love to have been born in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, etc. It’s better than where I am (a megalomaniacal, I mean a superpower, 1st world country who won’t even give it’s citizens universal health care) -_-
Soylent Green is people!!!
I’m from the Netherlands (born and raised) and i personally am not happy! There are so many systematic problems that i run into due my social class of which ethnic background unfortunately seems to play a role in.
”The European dream” doesn’t work for everyone as you’d think.
Like the “American Dream?” Is the Netherlands as racist as the USA? I suppose it’s hard to judge unless one’s visited or lived in both places.
