Holy hell, the f*ing thing updated and suddenly my touchscreen laptop’s touchscreen stopped functioning. This laptop is specifically made for touchscreen, so which means the whole point of this laptop stopped working. Took me THREE F*CKING HOURS trying every help page and every help fix. Nothing worked after trying a million things, but I FINALLY deleted that f*cking update file.
I KNEW it was the f*king update file, but windows wouldn’t let me delete it. Tried a million times. Finally this other method work, thank goodness.
Now when windows updates again, is it going to f*ck it up again?
God I f*cking hate the updates, and you can’t turn updates off.
Anyone else hate windows updates?

Yeah technology has a mind of its own . Sometimes these windows updates give me an option to defer them, other times they just happen out of nowhere.
Actually its not well known but you can actually turn the auto updates off by using a network setting called metered connection… look it up on Google… it exists for people who have limited data amounts, but honestly theres no good reason that everyone shouldnt be using it, it gives you control of what your internet does or doesnt do.
If it wasn’t for group policy and POSH scripting, I’d never have halted this dilemma with the 300+ PCs and servers I used to look after. So yeah, I know your pain.
Word on the wire is that Windows 11 is being handled as a “feature” update for Windows 10. Meaning that, unless you have options set to defer or deny feature packs, you’ll be getting an entirely new OS with the next rollout. Not so troublesome for individual users, but at the enterprise level… It’ll be a nightmare.
Oh, don’t you just love being a beta tester for M$?
