There is the app “StayFree” on the Android app store, it allows one to block apps. Also the app “HelpMeFocus”.
For the PC there is “Cold Turkey blocker”, it’s really firm, I like that it’s almost impossible to circumvent.
When I’m distracted I also ask God to help me and free me, and I place myself in His Hands and trust in Him, He does free me.
Yeah, addiction to electronics is hard, what makes it worse is that we’ve built a system of communication and of work, that doesn’t allow us to simply throw away our phones. At least we can block stuff.
There’s an app called ‘lock me out’ I use. It helps with screentime. You don’t have to literally lock your phone, just set limits and make them really hard to circumvent.
