When I was four years old I was shopping with my mother and oldest brother at a grocery store. Apparently a homeless man followed us inside and followed us the whole time. My mother told the store manager and the security guard about it and they downplayed it and told her he was a regular and to just ignore him. When we left and started walking to our car he ran outside and forced us into our car at gunpoint and he sat in the front passenger seat. My brother and me were in the back, myself being in a child car seat in the center. He forced my mother to drive for what seemed like hours all the while my mother was arguing with the ‘man’. We eventually stopped in a straw field with sparse vegetation and occasional oak tree. The engine was turned off and I assume the guy took the keys, Then he told my Mom to get out of the car and she was refusing. The situation got more violent and they were hitting each other then he pulled the hammer back on his revolver. everything went quiet and she said to my brother and me something and the two of them stepped out of the car and I could see the man prod her to walk behind the oak tree in front of the car. Me and my brother said a couple things I don’t remember and him being older he was telling me to be quiet. After a few minutes they came back in the car and my strongest memory is this man saying “See, that wasn’t that bad” then again he takes his gun and reaches toward my mothers head and said she was dead if she called the police. He then started waving it at me and my brother again and I was curious what he was tangling in my face so I started reaching my hand on his gun. The sick fuck wiped semen on my hand and I asked what it was and he replied “You’ll understand when you’re older!”.
That’s all of the memory that comes up. This man was arrested the next day. He spent the rest of his life in prison and the grocery store chain and the security company were sued but unfortunately I never got therapy because they though I was too young to remember.
