I’m not sure who brought it to my attention, pretty sure it was Plainwhite, but I don’t talk about when things work out enough.
Today turned into a good day, though I’m not especially a fan of how it started. I knew I wanted to get up early this morning, so any time I woke up in the night I seriously considered getting up and getting on with it. I made it to 5:30 AM, after seven hours of sleep which is much closer to a healthy amount than usual for me… I felt tired though. Made myself a really strong cup of coffee.
Once the sun came up I got to work. We’re doing a trip next week and a friend has volunteered to look after the dogs (and cats, but cats need way less looking after.) That’s a problem because my house is/was a mess, messier than I felt comfortable having strangers see. So I had to clean my storage room (I have a storage room, somehow both a part and a solution to the problem), and my garage. I made it to 11 AM before I asked my wife to help, and we buckled down and did it.
It’s not perfectly clean, but it feels so good to not be ashamed for someone else to see my house.
I feel like I managed a win against anxiety and depression, and those deserve to be noticed and celebrated.
Cleaning up clutter in my room helps for. My thoughts become noticably clear, lighter but for me it’s short-lived cause mess builds back up fast and it’s hard to tell which causes which. But yeah good for you, hope it carries.
Great job, man! You did good ? I certainly celebrate your win with you
