Woke up to being thrown out of my guild in this stupid game I’m playing. Then I went to join another guild, only to be kicked out of that one bc “my team is too weak.”
TF. We can’t even play games now without having to be in teams or guilds where you have to rely on others to do their end of the “work” and to do it well.
Whatever happened to just playing a fucking game at your own pace and having fun? Back in the day, games weren’t so “team” based. It’s fucking annoying now.
It wouldn’t be such a fucking problem if there were plenty of guilds to join. The server I’m on has so few active guilds. The top 10 active guilds require you to spend BOTH a lot of money and a lot of time, and if not in those top 10 guilds, then the other 10 guilds are just not active enough and you don’t earn enough “rewards” to get anywhere in the game. There’s literally only like less than 20 guilds you can join. Grrrr.

That sucks, it sounds like a mirror of society. I’ve never tried online gaming although in theory it sounds like a nice way to stay plugged into the human race without getting personal. But I guess it IS getting personal.
it’s stupid. ppl online are fucking insane. like when you play these games and you’re not active enough and not glued to the game all day every day, you get thrown out of guilds. this is the 2nd game that’s like that. granted these days i’m online in the games too much, but i wouldn’t want to be REQUIRED to be so, you know?
i should be on or off and playing or not playing as much as i feel like. but these new generation of games are all “team” fucking based.
it’s a stupid game, i shouldn’t have to be “required” to do stuff. there’s dailies that you have to do, mostly on your own, but there’s some that involve other ppl, and THOSE piss me off. bc if you don’t “contribute,” then you get booted.
since when did playing a game become a chore?
yeah i can quit but i already invested a lot of time and some money in this game already. and too lazy to look for another game. too many games involve teamwork and you don’t know if the game is like that until AFTER you start playing.
i know it’s just a stupid game but ugh. i can’t even get pleasure from playing games.
i mean how depressing is it when you get kicked out of a game? -_-
Well I can’t really say for browser games or anything like that but I’ve played quite a few phone games with guilds in them myself. And yes, it is like finding the needle in a haystack. To have a guild that is themselves sorta active, so you don’t feel like you’re missing out on cool rewards and also guilds, who are open to talk. I feel pretty awkward, when no one talks. And then there’s the ones you have mentioned, that are just mega invested and drop bank on these games. I usually stay away from them, I know they’re not looking for me lol. Just keep looking, don’t give up! (The repeating kinda hurts me too not gonna lie)
But also for games in general sometimes they feel like a chore. I don’t know, what it is these days. They’re overloaded with stuff and have lotsa bugs and sometimes advertising and it’s just draining. They put up goals to achieve, so we’ll feel great for reaching them but if you can’t, that’s frustrating. I mean I already fail IRL, I don’t also need it in my game xD
I appreciate games, where you don’t miss out on anything essential, when you’ve decided to take a little break.
exactly! they purposely make these games now that feel like chores. there’s sh*t like “dailies” that you gotta do that makes the game not fun anymore. in addition to the fact that it requires a frickin’ team to do everything together.
sigh. we can’t even escape into the game world… -_-
I’ve played one game for years…it’s an online shooter and we have our own ‘clans’…but they’re no long as important as they were in the past.
Games are somewhat important in that it is a form of recreation we enjoy in a ‘community.’ We become members of this group and it almost feels like being with friends/family.
So I can understand on the one hand we could say it’s just a ‘stupid game’ but on the other we dedicate time to it.
If you can, I’d suggest switching games or finding something similar where it’s more laid back and you can’t be easily ‘booted off the island.’
I actually prefer the days when we were in school and actually met with dozens of friends to play soccer or other games in person. Not only did you enjoy your time with ‘real people’ but you also got great exercise which was good for your body too.
Part of the reason why I got out of shape was because I was slumped in front of my pc, feeling like I got a workout in my shooter game, but only my fingers really did.
I’m an admin now on one of the servers I played on, but your post reminded me of the time before that where I had problems with some azzhole mods/admins and was concerned about being banned from the server and I realized how much I enjoyed playing there.
So ya hopefully you can find a good stable place in the game you play or if its that fickle, then it’s probably better to find another game which is multiplayer but one that won’t easily kick you out.
