How can “experts” be right when half the “experts” say 1 thing and the other half the exact opposite? Even when you have a consensus among “experts” like drs or therapists, they are often wrong. Most scientific “research” is funded by either Big Phar.ma or some other organization that has a stake in the outcome. So can we really trust any “research” that is out there?
We all “laugh” at the stupid medical shit ppl did back in the “old days,” like giving kids and babies cocaine for their toothaches or just to stop them from crying. The “coca” in coca-cola literally meant cocaine. Now imagine giving a baby cocaine for a toothache. How insane!
Or how about lobotomizing someone bc “experts” thought it would “fix” their personalities or make patients docile. Turns out it just turned everyone into a vegetable. A vegetable doesn’t complain, isn’t a difficult patient, and is docile So problem solved. Except for the person being lobotomized.
Or how about back in the 80s and 90s, you literally had TV commercials advertising “9/10 drs recommend Marlboro Menthols” or whatever brand of cigarettes. Oh it turns out cigarettes caused lung cancer? Well gee, you’d never know with “9/10 drs recommending” such and such.
Just bc something is said by “experts” or all these “experts” are in agreement with something, doesn’t mean that something is right. Takes 20-30 years for “research” to come out that this thing they said or that thing they said was just either wrong or utter bullshit. Like the Food Pyramid, funded by Big Agra and all the cereal companies. Eat a big bowl of cereal for breakfast, it’s even labeled as “heart healthy” by the AHA (American Heart Association). We were told that when I was a kid. Now, it’s been shown that cereal is the worst thing to eat bc it’s chock full of sugar.
You wanna know why everyone has ADD these days? Stuff like this. Literally everything in America is laced with tons of poison- sugar- is it a wonder why everyone’s sick or has ADD or depression or obesity?
My generation (Young Gen X/Old Millennial) did not have the internet while growing up, so we couldn’t just look up shit and realize the stuff adults were force feeding us crocks of bullshit.
Not that things are that much better bc now there’s so much junk and misinformation online. Went from NO information (aside from what the rich want us to “know”) to TOO much information (there’s so much junk out there ppl don’t know how to filter out the junk from the real truth- and EVERY goddamn person thinks they “KNOW” what the truth is and that everyone else is wrong, or everyone on the Left/Right/etc).
I just don’t trust a damn thing anyone says anymore. People are stupid and “experts” are paid to say certain things that benefits the wealthy/establishment.
**What’s even real anymore??

I wouldn’t know what it’s like to live in America but I do know that in our hearts, we’ll be able to tell what benefits us best. It takes discretion, yes, and a lot of will to go through the sludge of misinformation but whatever works best for you will help you immensely.
Unfortunately for me, I couldn’t really find joy from food and so I count nearly everything I put in my mouth as oil (supply) that will keep my machine (body) going. That might be a McDonald’s cheeseburger once bimonthly, instant noodle twice a week and rice every other day etc. I don’t recommend it to anyone else since our bodies work differently.
I also don’t smoke (no interest) or drink (no access and expensive) so maybe that’s why I seem relatively healthy (read : slim) despite eating quite disorderly.
Good luck in your journey.
Indeed.. as a canadian, we’re kind of aware what the us does, compared to the eu. No wonder the eu doesn’t want to import food from the us, yet the president think it’s to prevent the us to make money in the eu. I think capitalism goes a bit too far in the us tbh, and people suffer from it. It’s just my opinion tho. If you go the other way around, you probably end up with a different way to the same problem.
I think ideally is a healthy balance of capitalism (free market) and regulations.
And corruption is rampant. Money and power corrupts, no doubt about it. And yeah, I did eat a bunch of cereals when I was young, altho the less sugar added kind but, still full of it.
Who knew eggs, full of cholesterol, are actually healthy. Apparently cholesterol problem appears when you don’t exercise.. cholesterol you eat doesn’t go in the bloodstream… hope this is right, and that I didn’t end up a foolish expert, like you’re saying, lol.
Anyway. You’re right, misinformation is all over, look at who’s at the helm of the us these day.. just my opinion, but holy hell. We sure, canuks, have a thing or two to say about it, even if we have plenty of issues ourselves. Still, I understand, really was wishing the next president could fix a bunch of your issues, just like I wish our new prime minister can fix a whole lot of bs here. Politicians.. what a bunch of crooks.
I think I have ADD, not 100% sure but.. with the amount of alcohol I drank, the fat I accumulated and staying alone and inside all the time, I’m sure any kind of brain would start to fire in really weird ways. And the sleep.. omg.
sorry if I’m rambling..
