what a couple of days

I’m bowled over, I didn’t think an employer was going to give in this easy, ever. I got the job, for those of you who don’t want to read my rambling on, and I don’t blame you at all if you don’t.

It’s just, wow, I wasn’t planning on giving up so easy either but I don’t see how anyone can offer me any better is the thing. Not a particularly bad commute, as they go. As good a shift as any, eight hours, weekdays. I get to play with autistic kids all day. I mean, worst bit of it is that I have to change them sometimes and of course theres some back end paperwork logistics, you can’t get a job in healthcare without logistics fluff. You must feed the monster. I’m sure there will be days that push my frustrations, not every kid is going to be my favorite, and I will get tired and fed up, I always do even doing work I love.

However….. $20 an hour to do that vs all the other stuff I’ve looked at, this is perfectly fine and decent to do for awhile. I was willing to do some truly unpleasant stuff, and this meanwhile is almost delightful. I’m going to have to spend time on my time off being cranky and watching dark stuff to satisfy that side of me just to stay balanced, but that is totally okay. I have a deep library of horror books and movies to satisfy that side of my heart.

It gives me what I wanted really bad; the ability to start paying some debts down, fixing things so I don’t have to live with a house falling apart around me, vehicles falling apart on me.

Oh so other stuff happened today too; I got a free chainsaw. I was running over to my parents to do some stuff for them and it was just there on the curb with a free sign on it, a really nice saw, I don’t know if anything is wrong with it, but I took it anyway, I can try to fix it if there is something wrong with it because it’s a high quality name brand known to be easy to rebuild. So now I own two chainsaws. I’m prepping to move to the deep woods so I will be putting them to use.

Then I was talking to my neighbor about recent events and he offered to sell me his old car for a really good price and we need a second hand vehicle really bad so I can get my car back from my wife. So it’s just coming down all around me with good news, stuff that I need is showing up and I think things might be coming my way that I need to make my life a bit better.

My dad tossed me a bit of money for helping him out and I was able to get my work uniforms with that. We’re getting a new washing machine on monday. I think I might see about replacing my truck radio tomorrow because I only have one CD in it and I’ve listened to it nonstop for the past several years, the only other option is radio I’d really like bluetooth like I have in my car
