The voices chant, the pain begins; I know I will never win

Crashing into tables, causing tears, but no one can know of these fear

When people enter I struggle to stop, act like Iâ€™m fine when really Iâ€™m not

If I told people whatâ€™s going on, theyâ€™ll think that Iâ€™m crazy that I donâ€™t belong

Who has a masked man in their heads, who when takes over makes the real me

When I went to the nuthouse, I brought two books with me: Orhan Pamuk’sÂ SnowÂ and Gyorgy Konrad’sÂ Stonedial.Â The latter is the closest I will ever have to a bible; every time I’ve gone somewhere new, that book has come with me. I wonder, do you feel cold. I do.
I wonder, are you behind a glass wall in a crowd. I am.
My life feels like a grain of salt in the sand.
In a soundproof glass box.
They can’t hear me.
I feel as a bit of smear in the vastness.
Don’t touch me.
Don’t stand close to.
Don’t talk to me.
Life is better in a book.
Darkness is heavenly.
So I don’t sleep at night.
Daylight, too many people.
I need to hide.
I am alone in my self imposed lonely room
